Toteme gold-plated brass Signature bracelet, £540
This bangle was part of the debut jewellery line Toteme launched last year. It’s smart, simple and elegant – just like most things produced by the Swedish fashion powerhouse. toteme.com
Chloé wool herringbone Long Officer jacket, £2,125
Some people are all about Chemena Kamali’s blousy, boho, chiffon-y vision for Chloé. I’m in it for her tweedy ’70s-style jackets. chloe.com
Old Stone Trade leather and suede The Canoe moccasins, $350
Melissa Ventosa Martin’s Old Stone Trade website, filled with artisan-sourced clothes and accessories, has bludgeoned my bank balance since its launch – even more so since the addition of her American Handmade curation of classics. These perfect tan moccasins are next on my wishlist but, let’s be honest, I want all of it. oldstonetrade.com
The Orkney Furniture Maker Scottish oak Gent’s chair with drawer, £1,930
I discovered Kevin Gauld, the Orkney Furniture Maker, at this year’s Homo Faber design fair in Venice. His Gent’s chair, made using traditional and contemporary craft techniques, features a handwoven seagrass seat and hand-stitched oat straw back. It’s a work of art – with added storage. orkneyfurniture.co.uk
Almada Label cashmere-mix Luna vest, £160
Most vest tops do criminal things to one’s upper arms and are too thin to wear with confidence in any professional environment. This cashmere vest is cosy, breathable and cut with an exceptionally flattering racer-back – in other words, a game-changer. I wear one almost every day, and it works just as well with jeans as it does an evening tuxedo.
Re/Done The Mel jeans, £320
With his uniform of denim trucker jacket, cowboy boots and vintage Levi’s, the editor-in-chief of Interview magazine, Mel Ottenberg, has become my style idol at the shows. Now I can channel the look with his unisex collaboration with RE/DONE: the jeans are based on an ’80s style of Levi’s 505. But when’s the boot collaboration coming out, Mel? ssense.com
Bottega Veneta Acqua Sale, £350 for 100ml EDP
Designer Matthieu Blazy’s first foray into fragrance at Bottega has resulted in a suite of customarily desirable bottles. Each comes with a stone plinth, which is a bit pointless but nonetheless sexy, and makes every scent look like sculpture. I like Acqua Sale, which evokes the smell of skin after swimming in salty water. bottegaveneta.com
The Toffee Shop butter fudge, £8.35 for 230g
I bought a box of this fudge at Tebay Services in Yorkshire two months ago. Not a day has passed since when I haven’t dreamt about it. thetoffeeshop.co.uk
The Plant magazine subscription, €88 a year
A fashion magazine for the horticulturally curious, with contributions from some of the world’s great art photographers. Chic. theplantmagazine.com
JW Anderson resin Puffin clutch, £650
I’m ordinarily not a fan of playful accessories, but I love JW Anderson’s series of 3D-printed birdie clutch bags. I already have the iconic pigeon – I’d like a little puffin to keep her company. jwanderson.com
Louis Vuitton leather and canvas Neverfull reversible bag, £2,280
No wonder the Neverfull remains one of Vuitton’s bestsellers: it can reportedly suspend up to 90kg from its slender handles. It now comes in a reversible style of tan cowhide and monogram – great for those of us who prefer a more subtle deployment of branding. louisvuitton.com
Sea Going by Peter Lanyon, £750,000
I saw this painting by the British painter of abstract landscapes at Frieze. And decided I very much wanted to live with it. richardgreen.com
Barrie cashmere Iconic oversized jumper, £985
This round-neck sweater with a split seam is produced by one of the oldest cashmere knitting manufacturers in Scotland (Barrie joined Chanel’s Métiers d’Art in 2012). It’s perfect in every way, and comes in 13 colours. barrie.com
Loewe acetate Butterfly small-screen sunglasses, £276
I’m going to Patagonia for Christmas. These tortoiseshell sunglasses are just the right side of fashionable to flex in. loewe.com
Augustinus Bader The Skin Infusion Skin Reset Set, £330
One of the latest products from the prolific and industrious Professor Bader, this infusion set is designed as a four-week course to promote skin elasticity, texture and luminosity. It’s since become my go-to face saviour. augustinusbader.com
